White Necked Jacobin

Another practice painting I finished last week.

I have no idea what is with my infatuation with painting birds lately, I've never been very good at drawing them in the first place. Guess it's just the fact there are so many colors that I can use.
I DID  really enjoy playing with the colors for this one.

Of course there are things that I'm not happy with, things that could have been done better, but this WAS practice; so now I know for the future^-^

Also decided to add a background at the very last minute; which is something I never do.  It doesn't flow as smoothly as it should, but it did help with the overall image.

Alright, enough  of my complaining, it's not a complete failure and I learned quite a bit during the process.
And in the end, that's what really matters.
